In today's fast-paced and competitive business world, organizations are constantly seeking ways to enhance productivity and efficiency. The advent of AI has only hastened the demands placed on every business leader to become a digital transformation expert.

To help you navigate the challenges of change management, Patrick Tesh, Xembly’s Head of Strategic Accounts, will be leading a webinar on Th 8/3 11am PT to discuss “7 Tips to Accelerate Your Team’s Productivity with AI.”

For a sneak peak at some of the points he’ll cover in greater depth, let’s explore the following 7 tips and consider how your team can take the next step.

#1 - Embrace AI as a Partner

To fully harness the potential of AI, it's essential to view it as a partner rather than a threat or a replacement. Even amongst the most well-known business leaders and influencers of the world, this “threat” worldview is common:

“Robots will be able to do everything better than us… I am not sure exactly what to do about this. This is really the scariest problem to me.” -Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla & SpaceX

While Elon’s entitled to his opinion, most experts believe that robots and AI are a long way off from replacing most human efforts. Rather, the inverted demographic pyramid that’s emerging in wealthy countries with a smaller working base and a larger senior population is forcing companies to learn to do more with less - enter AI.

Encourage your team to embrace AI as a tool that can assist and enhance their work, rather than replace them. By fostering a collaborative mindset, your team will be more open to exploring AI-driven solutions and leveraging them to their advantage.

#2 - Invest in Team Training

To effectively utilize AI technologies, invest in training programs to upskill your team. Offer workshops, seminars, or online courses that focus on AI fundamentals and how it can be applied in their specific roles.

As reported by Vox, many companies have even begun hiring or internally promoting a Head of AI to help with adoption. This may be a necessary step for larger organizations with more complex challenges, but even small companies can benefit from allocating certain role’s to have greater AI learning and training emphasis.

By empowering your team with the knowledge and skills to work alongside AI, they will be better equipped to maximize its benefits and drive productivity.

#3 - Expect and Adapt to Error

AI is not infallible and may make mistakes. It's crucial to set realistic expectations and be prepared to handle errors. Encourage your team to embrace a growth mindset, learning from mistakes, and refining AI models or processes accordingly.

As data from the Bar exam reveals (Illinois Tech, 2023), AI is rapidly increasing in its capacity to pass a text-based Bar exam, even surpassing average human performance. Yet, 75% accuracy is nowhere near 100% and relying on AI to accurately solve your every business challenge is a fool’s errand.

By recognizing these errors up front, you can continuously improve AI systems, minimizing errors and optimizing productivity over time.

#4 - Try ChatGPT

ChatGPT, and its many emerging generative AI competitors, can be a valuable tool for any team. It enables writers, programmers, and data analysts to multiply their efforts to get more done.

Marketers could use it to draft copy (e.g. email, web content, blog posts). When doing lazy research, you can also substitute Google searches for ChatGPT - though you’ll want to verify any findings with. Data analysts and programmers can ask ChatGPT to assist with solving problems or building programs.

By integrating ChatGPT into your team's workflow, you can enhance productivity, boost creativity, and facilitate knowledge sharing.

#5 - Embrace AI-Assisted Scheduling

Scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars can be time-consuming and challenging. AI-assisted scheduling assistants like Xembly can automate this process, eliminating the back-and-forth emails and reducing scheduling conflicts.

These tools can analyze participants' availability, suggest suitable meeting times, and send out invitations, saving your team valuable time and energy.

#6 - Let AI Handle Meeting Note Taking

During meetings, valuable insights and action items are often discussed but easily forgotten or lost. AI-powered transcription and note-taking tools can alleviate this issue by automatically transcribing conversations and generating detailed meeting summaries. While many companies claim to offer some form of Meeting Summary, you should

Xembly’s Meeting Summaries This allows your team to focus on active participation during meetings, knowing that important information will be accurately recorded and easily accessible afterward.

#7 - Manage Tasks with AI

Task management is a critical aspect of team productivity. AI-driven task management tools can streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and provide intelligent task prioritization recommendations. By leveraging AI in task management, your team can optimize their time, stay organized, and focus on high-value activities that require human creativity and expertise.
